Clarence Schroedl, age 84, of Fairfax passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Prairie Senior Cottages in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 5, 2018, 10:30 A.M. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 4, 2018, from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax and will continue one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Obituary
Clarence John Schroedl was born on January 7, 1934, on the family farm in Camp Township, Renville County, Minnesota. He was the son of George Jr. and Catherine (Wendinger) Schroedl. Clarence was baptized as an infant on January 14, 1934, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth, both at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. He received his education St. Andrew’s Catholic School.
On August 27, 1958, Clarence was united in marriage to Evelyn Liebl at St. George’s Catholic Church in St. George. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Camp Township. He was a farmer from the day he was old enough, helping his father and later helping his son farm his land. This marriage was blessed with two children, Nancy and Paul. Clarence and Evelyn shared 59 years of marriage.
Clarence was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax, and Catholic United Financial.
Clarence enjoyed hunting deer, elk in Montana, working his land, loved his dogs and checking his fields on the Ranger (side by side). He cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his children, and grandchildren.
When he needed assistance with his daily care, Clarence became a resident of Prairie Senior Cottages in New Ulm and passed away there on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at the age of 84 years. Blessed be his memory.

Wife, Evelyn Schroedl of New Ulm, MN;
Children, Nancy Eiler and her husband, Ronald of Olivia, MN, and
Paul Schroedl and his wife, Dawn of Fairfax, MN;
Grandchildren, Scott (Kendra) Eiler, Brian Eiler and Travis Schroedl;
In-Laws, Agnes Kiecker and her husband, Delford of Fairfax, MN, Gerald Liebl and his wife, Diane of New Ulm, MN, Cathy Graff and her husband, Darrell of Lamberton, MN, and Marge Liebl of Lakeville, MN;
Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
Clarence was preceded in death by his Parents, George Jr. and Catherine Schroedl; Brother, LeRoy Schroedl; Brothers-In-Law, Ralph Liebl and Patrick Liebl; and Sister-In-Law, Judy Liebl.
