Ettie Wiethoff Palmer, age 83, of Fairfax, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, January 6th, 2018, at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be Saturday, January 13, from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax.
Obituary
Ettie Faye (Hammond) Wiethoff Palmer was born on June 2, 1934, in Madelia, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Floyd and Clara (Madson) Hammond. She received her education in Madelia and was a graduate of the Madelia High School Class of 1952.
On December 7, 1957, Ettie was united in marriage to Lloyd Wiethoff. After their marriage, the couple resided in Fairfax. This marriage was blessed with three children. Ettie was a loving mother and homemaker. Ettie and Lloyd shared 18 years of marriage before he passed away on December 9, 1975.
On September 17, 1991, Ettie was united in marriage to James Palmer. After their marriage, the couple resided in Fairfax. She was employed as a bookkeeper and a secretary. Ettie and James shared 10 years of marriage before he passed away on July 20, 2001.
Ettie was a member of the Church of Christ (River Valley Christian) Church in New Ulm, Minnesota.
Ettie enjoyed traveling and singing at weddings and funerals. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Ettie passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis at the age of 83 years. Blessed be her memory.

Ettie was preceded in death by her Twin Daughters, Karil and Teril; Parents, Floyd and Clara Hammond; First Husband, Lloyd Wiethoff; Second Husband, James Palmer; Sisters, Florence Woese, Mildred Lemke, Vivian (Norman) Monsen, and Maurine (Harold) Hage; Brother, Wayne S. Hammond; Son-In-Law, Mark Kodet.
