Lois O’Fallon, age 89, of Hutchinson, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017, 11:00 A.M., at the St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. Interment will be held at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson and will continue on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Lois Helen O’Fallon was born on May 31, 1928, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Charles and Otilia Manthei. Lois was baptized as an infant in Minneapolis and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth in Minneapolis. She received her education at Edison High School in Minneapolis through grade 8.
On November 30, 1946, Lois was united in marriage to James O’Fallon at in Columbia Heights. This marriage was blessed with four children, Lorraine, Irene, Mark, and Gary. Lois and James resided near Hutchinson. They shared 30 years of marriage together.
Lois worked on her and James’s farm for several years.
Lois was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson.
Lois loved the farm life. She enjoyed mowing the lawn, playing cards, reading, doing puzzles, dancing to country and old time music, and just making people laugh. She also enjoyed having family reunions and neighborhood picnics. Lois especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Lois spent many winters with her sister Catherine in Wickenburg, Arizona and Catherine spent summers with her in Minnesota.
When Lois needed assistance with her daily care, she became a resident of the Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson on February 12, 2013. Lois passed away there on Friday, August 18, 2017, at the age of 89 years.

Lois is preceded in death by her Parents, Charles and Otilia Manthei; Husband, James O’Fallon; Daughter, Irene Goblirsch; Granddaughter, Kimberly Peterson; Grandson, Jimmy Goblirsch; Brothers, Leo Manthei and his wife, Ann, and Chuck Manthei; Sisters, Dorothy Gherer and her husband, Andy, and Catherine Jripp and her husband, Rollie.
