Service Information
Michael Lentsch, age 31, of Hector, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Harmony River in Hutchinson, Minnesota.
Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. at Zion United Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake.
Interment in Zion Evangelical Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Zion United Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake, and will continue for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
Obituary
Michael Robert Lentsch was born on February 19, 1983, in Glencoe, Minnesota, the son of Robert and RaNay (Neubarth) Lentsch. He was baptized as an infant, and confirmed in his faith on April 27, 1997, at the First Lutheran Church in Glencoe. Michael grew up near Glencoe. He received his education at the First Lutheran School, and graduated from the Glencoe Silver Lake High School with the Class of 2001. He continued his education at St. Cloud Technical College, and graduated as a diesel technician.
On May 17, 2008, Michael was united in marriage to Bridget Lenzen at the Zion United Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake. They made their home in Hector. Three children were born to this union, Kash, Kynnlea, and Kambree.
Michael worked as a diesel mechanic, and in the trucking and transportation industry. In 2004 he purchased his own semi, and was the owner / operator of Michael Lentsch Trucking.
Michael had belonged to 4-H, and was very active with FFA. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake, where he taught Sunday School.
Early Tuesday morning, July 29, 2014, Michael passed away after fighting cancer at Harmony River in Hutchinson. Blessed be his memory.
Michael is survived by his Wife, Bridget Lentsch of Hector; Children: Kash Lentsch, Kynnlea Lentsch, and Kambree Lentsch of Hector; Father and Mother, Robert and RaNay Lentsch, of Glencoe; Brother, Matthew Lentsch, of Stewart; Sister, Meghan Peterson and her Husband Tyler, of Brookings, South Dakota; Paternal Grandmother, Lillian Lentsch, of Glencoe; Maternal Grandfather, Arthur Neubarth, of Glencoe; Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law, Jim and Penny Lenzen of Hector; Sister-in-Law, Jessi Lenzen and fiancé Roye Arie, of Minnetonka; many relatives and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his Grandfather Omer Lentsch, Grandmother Alice Neubarth, Uncle Michael Lentsch, and Brother-in-law Adam Lenzen.
Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
