Mildred Gregor, age 99, of Silver Lake formerly of Hutchinson, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017, at Cedar Crest Estate in Silver Lake.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at the Vineyard United Methodist Church in Hutchinson. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the Vineyard United Methodist Church in Hutchinson.
Mildred Gregor was born on May 18, 1918, to Guy and Nora (Laird) May at Milroy, Minnesota. Three years later they moved to Hutchinson, Minnesota, where she resided most of her life.
Mildred received her education in Acoma Township at District #82. She worked in Minneapolis for a few years until she married her best friend, Stanley Gregor, on September 23, 1938, at Hutchinson Baptist Church. They were married 62 plus years until Stanley passed away on July 22, 2001. They were blessed with three children, two daughters, Donna and Janice, and one son, Gary.
In 1960 she went to beautician school in Minneapolis and received her license to own and operate her own shop named Shear Magic. After selling her shop she did bookkeeping for Dostal and Oleson Oil Company for 11 ½ years before retiring.
Mildred was a member of Vineyard United Methodist church since 1946. She was an active member in the Women’s Christian organization. She sang in the choir for several years, and when needed, played the piano for various groups. She was active in the Rebekkah Lodge and also played piano at their meetings.
Mildred’s main interests in life were the love of her family and playing the piano for sing-a-longs at the Oaks, Burn Manor, the Hutchinson Senior Center, and Cedar Crest in Silver Lake.
When Mildred needed assistance with her daily care, she became a resident at Cedar Crest in Silver Lake in 2012. She passed away there on Friday, June 16, 2017, at the age of 99 years. Blessed be her memory.

Daughter, Janice Gezel and her husband, Dennis of Waconia, MN;
Son-In-Law, Michael Foley;
Grandchildren, John (Kay) Foley, Tom Foley, Michele (Douglas) Dussault, Edward (Kelly) Gezel, Brenda (Richard) Keske;
Great-Grandchildren, Michael John (Megan) Foley, Emily Foley, Michael Dussault, Abigail Dussault, Colin Foley, Aidan Foley, Quinton Foley, Adam Keske, Beth Keske, Brett Keske, Max Gezel, Charles Gezel;
many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Mildred was preceded in death by her Parents, Guy and Nora May; Husband, Stanley Alden Gregor; Daughter, Donna May Foley; Son, Gary John Gregor; Sisters, Anna Eggert, Stella Fratzke, Esther Widger, Bessie Anglin and their spouses; Brothers, Orval May, Frank May, Roy May and their spouses.
