Patricia Mary Albrecht was born October 27, 1934, at her parents’ home on James Avenue in Mankato, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Bernard and Lillian (Schaible Mahoney) Leftault. Patricia was baptized at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato on December 9, 1934, and confirmed in her faith there on October 24, 1954. She received her education in Mankato, and graduated from the Mankato High School on May 28, 1953. For the next 11 years, Pat was employed with AEMCO in Mankato.
Pat met Leo Albrecht at the Mankato Ballroom. They shared an enjoyment of polka music, fell in love, and were united in marriage on July 11, 1964, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. They made their home in Brownton, and were blessed with two children, Theresa and Michael. The family lived in Brownton for 16 years until making their home in Penn Township. Along with helping Leo on the farm, Pat worked at Telex Communication in Glencoe for 15 years. Pat and Leo had shared nearly 49 years of marriage when Leo passed away on June 18, 2013. Pat continued to live in their home in Penn Township.
Pat was faith filled, and active in her church membership with St. Boniface Catholic Church in Stewart. She had served on the Liturgy Committee for nine years, and seven years as the church secretary. She was a member of the C.C.W., and was Vice President and President in 1973 and 1974. She enjoyed gardening, and canning her produce. Reading, watching the Minnesota Twins on TV, and watching polka (Molly B) were her favorite pastimes. She was a very thoughtful, hospitable, and awesome farm wife who liked to cook and bake. She loved going to church, coffee at Cactus Jacks, going out to eat, and spending birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays with her family. Pat loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
