Sandra “Sandy” Waldron, age 72, of Hutchinson, wife of Jim Waldron, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Prairie Senior Cottages in Hutchinson, Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, Minnesota. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson and will continue one hour before the service at the church.
Obituary
Sandra Kay Waldron was born on June 13, 1945, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Edward and Atheline (Bonde) Betker. Sandy was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth both at Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. She received her education in Hutchinson, and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School Class of 1963.
On June 25, 1966, Sandy was united in marriage to James Michael Waldron at St. George’s Catholic Church in Glencoe, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with two sons, Daniel and Eric. Sandy and Jim lived and raised their family in Hutchinson. Sandy and Jim shared 51 years of marriage.
Sandy was employed with Telex Corporation in Glencoe, Minnesota, where she met her husband Jim. She also worked at 3M for 3 years and Hutchinson Technology Inc. for 27 ½ years and retired in 2001. Sandy was a very active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church where she volunteered for several ministries including Confirmation Catechist for 23 years, a member of the Worship and Music Committee, Altar Guild, Baptismal Banners & Cloths, Church Council, Mission and Outreach Committee, and Staff Support Groups.
Sandy enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, and wood crafts. She loved to bake; especially Christmas cookies. Sandy was always along to take in the sporting events that Jim announced and was an avid Hutchinson Tigers fan. She cherished the time spent with her family, grandchildren and friends.
Sandy passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Prairie Senior Cottages in Hutchinson, Minnesota, at the age of 72 years. She will be greatly missed by many. Blessed be her memory.

Carol Briggs and her husband, Martin of Hutchinson, MN,
Nancy Mackedanz and her husband, LeRoy of Hutchinson, MN;
Sister In-Law, Clara Betker of Hutchinson, MN;
Nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Sandy is preceded in death by her: Parents, Edward and Atheline Betker; Siblings, Gloria (Donald) McKimm, and Roger Betker and Sister In-Law, Barbara Betker.
