Scott Schochenmaier, age 47, of Hutchinson, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018, at the Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with interment in the Oakland Cemetery.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Monday, February 12, 2018, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson and will continue one hour before the service at the church.
Memorial Preferred to McLeod County Fair or McLeod County Relay for Life.
Obituary
Scott Wayne Schochenmaier was born on May 28, 1970, in Bury St. Edmunds, England. Scott was baptized as an infant on September 13, 1970, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Mankato, Minnesota. He was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on October 27, 1985, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Scott received his education in Hutchinson, and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School Class of 1988. He continued his education at Moorhead State University and received his construction management degree in 1992.
On July 16, 1994, Scott was united in marriage to Christine Hagen at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. This marriage was blessed with two children, Calvin and Jacob. Scott and Christine resided in Hutchinson. They shared 23 years of marriage.
Scott was employed with multiple construction companies most recently for Hasslen Construction in Hutchinson as project manager/estimator. Scott was a lifetime member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, active on the Church Council. He was a longtime member and past President of the McLeod County Fair Board. He was also active in Pheasants Forever.
Scott enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, boating, and mowing his yard. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Scott passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, at the age of 47 years. He will be greatly missed by many. Blessed be his memory.

Tim Schochenmaier and his wife, Barb, of New Brighton, MN;
Sister-In-Law, Cindy Bock and her husband, Jon, of Hutchinson, MN;
Aunts, Joyce Neyhart and her husband, Dale of Danube, MN,
Sherry Schochenmaier of Maple Grove, MN,
Charlotte Wigen and her husband, Roger of Ramsey, MN;
Many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Scott is preceded in death by his Father-In-Law, Jim Hagen; Grandparents, Albert and Amanda Schochenmaier and Glynn and Lorraine Stellmacher; and Uncle, Jerald Schochenmaier.
