Bernadine Klammer, age 95, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, formerly Buffalo Lake, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at the Ecumen Pines in Hutchinson.
Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at 2:00 P.M., at the Dobratz- Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson with interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Buffalo Lake.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel.
Memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
Obituary
Bernadine Christine Klammer was born on September 29, 1923, in Mora, MN. She was the daughter of Martin and Elizabeth Anderson. She was baptized as an infant and was confirmed in her faith as a youth, both at Long Lake Lutheran Church in rural Isanti, Minnesota. Bernadine graduated with the Class of 1941 from the St. Francis High School. She continued her education and graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in Elementary Education.
On January 2, 1965, Bernadine was united in marriage to Milton Klammer at Long Lake Lutheran Church. Bernadine and Milton made their home in Preston Lake Township, rural Buffalo Lake, where they farmed from 1965 until 2010. They shared 54 years of marriage.
Bernadine began her teaching career at various country schools in Minnesota before moving to California where she taught in San Bernardino and San Diego. She then returned to Minnesota and taught in Bloomington, Columbia Heights, and Stillwater. After Bernadine and Milton were married, she taught as a substitute teacher in Buffalo Lake. During her teaching career, she had the opportunity to ride in a military plane and on a big ship with other teachers. Bernadine was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake. She was active with the Ladies Aid group, bible study, and the church choir. She also shared her love of educating by teaching Release Time.
Bernadine enjoyed reading and gardening. She also enjoyed attending parades with Milton. Bernadine especially cherished her time spent with family and friends.
Bernadine Klammer passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at the Ecumen Pines in Hutchinson, at the age of 95 years.

Bernadine was preceded in death by her Parents, Martin and Elizabeth Anderson; Sister, Alma Dimitry and her husband, John; Sister-in-Law, Lorraine Anderson; Brother-in-Law, Howard Wick.

Sorry to hear this, Milton. Bernadine was such a wonderful lady. I will always remember her as my awesome confirmation teacher, one that taught me a lot. Cherish all the wonderful years and great times you had with her. Keeping you in my prayers.
