Dallas Lillian (Quast) Ehrke was born on December 12, 1929, in Lester Prairie, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Ewald and Mary (Dose) Quast. She was baptized as an infant on January 5, 1930, and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth on March 29, 1942, both at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie, Minnesota. Dallas received her education at District #84 Country School and St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Parochial School in rural Lester Prairie, Minnesota.
On October 25, 1947, Dallas was united in marriage to Walter Ehrke by Pastor Walter Fischer at the parsonage of Evangelical and Reformed Church in Lester Prairie, Minnesota. Their life was blessed with two daughters, Brenda and Bonnie. Dallas and Walter shared over 62 years of marriage until Walter passed away on July 27, 2010.
