Donald Clarence Schiro was born on July 15, 1928, in Cosmos Township, Meeker County, Minnesota, the son of Arthur and Marion (Anderson) Schiro. He was baptized as an infant on August 12, 1928, and was confirmed in his faith on May 23, 1943, both at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos, Minnesota. In January of 2018, they moved to the Oaks in Hutchinson. Together they shared 69 years of marriage.
Don loved to farm. In his retirement he still enjoyed driving the tractor and combine. He also enjoyed a quiet drive to look at all the crops. He served on the Cosmos and Corvuso Creamery Board. Pastor Ron Freimark says
To the children, I want to extend my deepest sympathy to you at this time of losing both of your parents, and to the grandchildren at this time of losing two grandparents at virtually the same time. I remember them well, of course, as their pastor for 10 years, and I remember all the children, of course. I believe most of you were in my confirmation classes. Laurel, when I came back to Peace Lutheran on occasion, you were always so welcoming! May God give you all peace and comfort at this time when you say, “Until we meet again!” We continue to confess, “I believe in the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting,” all because of Jesus victory over sin and death when he rose victoriously from the tomb!
Peace!

Ruth Ann Lade says
To the Schiro family…..am saddened to read the news of the home going of your parents.
Those we love remain with us…for love itself lives on. Cherished memories never fade….because a loved one’s gone. Those we love can never be more than a thought apart….For as long as there is a memory….THEY’LL LIVE ON IN YOUR HEARTS.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4.
Tears are the words the heart can’t express….may you find peace and comfort in your family and friends. God is good and loves each of you. Blessings.
