Service Information
Dorothy A. Grewe, age 91, of Gaylord, Minnesota passed away Saturday at the Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 3, 2016, 10:30 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Obituary
Dorothy Augusta Grewe was born on March 12, 1925, in Grafton Township, Sibley County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Alfred and Minnie (Draeger) Gehrke. Dorothy was baptized as an infant on April 5, 1925, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 10, 1938 at St. Matthews Church of Fernando, rural Stewart, Minnesota. She received her education at country school.
In 1948, Dorothy was united in marriage to Edward Grewe at St. Matthews Church of Fernando, rural Stewart, Minnesota. After their marriage, they farmed on the family homestead in Alfsborg Township, Sibley County, Minnesota. She was a farm wife and homemaker. They moved into Gaylord in 1978. She shared 49 years of marriage with Edward before his death in 1997.
Dorothy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord and a member of the Ladies Aid.
Dorothy enjoyed reading, playing cards and games, gardening, and visiting with family and friends.
When she needed assistance with her daily care, Dorothy became a resident of Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson on November 17, 2016, and passed away there on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at the age of 91 years. Blessed be her memory.

Nephew, Steven (Jane) Gehrke of Roseville, MN;
Nieces, Shawn (Paul) Hintzen of Sauk Centre, MN, and
Sheila (John) Fox of Hutchinson, MN;
Sister-In-Law, Yvonne Gehrke of Hutchinson, MN;
Great Nieces and Great Nephews, Jaclyn, Tony, Amy, Laura, Courtney and Nick;
Great-great Aunt of: Evan, Lindy, and Gavin;
other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her Parents, Alfred and Minnie Gehrke; Husband, Edward Grewe; Brother, Virgil Gehrke.
