Elsie Clark, age 83, of Norwood Young America, Minnesota, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019, at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at All Saints Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America, Minnesota, with interment at a later date at Mau Cemetery in Norwood Young America, Minnesota.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Saturday, November 23, 2019, from 9:00-11:00 A.M., 2 hours prior the service at the church.
Obituary
Elsie Ann (Holm) Clark was born on August 31, 1936, in Titonka, Iowa. She was the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Dirksen) Holm. Elsie was baptized as an infant in the Lutheran Church in Truman, Minnesota, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmore, Minnesota. She received her education at East Chain High School graduating with the Class of 1954.
On April 21, 1956, Elsie was united in marriage to Clayton Clark at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmore, Minnesota. Elsie and Clayton made their home in Elmore and then moved around for several years. In 1967, the family moved to Norwood Young America, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with five children, Dawn, Shelly, Brian, Bruce and Brad. Elsie and Clayton shared over 58 years of marriage, until Clayton passed away on July 3, 2014.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother and homemaker, Elsie worked at the Rothfork Truck Stop and Midtown Café for 43 years, retiring at the age of 76. Elsie was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America.
Elsie enjoyed camping, going to the trailer, crossword puzzles, playing Bingo, Cryptoquip, puzzles and watching the game show channel and her grandchildren’s sporting events. She also was a big fan of the Minnesota Vikings, Gophers and Twins. Elsie cherished the time spent with her family and friends.
Elsie passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019, at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 25 days.

Elsie is preceded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth Holm; Husband, Clayton Clark; Mother-In-Law and Father-In-Law, Murrell and Pearl Clark; Brothers, Russell Holm, Keith Holm; Sisters-In-Law and Brothers-In-Law, Evelyn Tesch and her husband, Darold, Shirley Elmore and her husband, Mervin; Nephew, Barry Tesch.
