Ethel Robinson, age 73, of Boon Lake Township, Renville County, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Senior Prairie Cottages in Willmar, Minnesota.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018, 12:00 P.M. noon, at the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., one hour prior to the service, all at the Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson.
Obituary
Ethel Frances Robinson was born on May 18, 1945 in Caldwell County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Paul and Dora (Tincher) Sharp. Ethel grew up in Caldwell County and graduated from high school in 1963.
On February 1, 1964, Ethel was united in marriage to Fillmore Robinson in Princeton, Kentucky. This marriage was blessed with one daughter, Vonnie. They shared 41 years of marriage together.
Ethel worked at a variety of jobs in her lifetime. She worked at Hutchinson Technology Incorporated (HTI) for many years, and most recently at Walmart until late 2017.
Ethel loved gardening, reading, being with her pets, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving person, always lending a helping hand and spreading laughter and joy.
Ethel became a resident at Prairie Senior Cottages in Willmar on December 26, 2017. She passed away there on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at the age of 73 years. Blessed be her memory.
Ethel is survived by her:
Daughter, Yvonne Hays;
Grandchildren, Eric Svoboda, Denise Svoboda and Madison LaPlante, and Corey Hays;
Great Grandchildren, Skylar, Akadia, and Aiden Svoboda;
Sisters, Sarah Gray and her husband, Frank,
Viola Jean Plieseis and her husband, Jerry,
Paulette Vedral and Robbie Oldham;
Many other loved relatives and friends.
Ethel is preceded in death by her: Parents, Paul and Dora Sharp; and her Husband, Fillmore Robinson.

So sad to hear this I have spent nights with her when we were growing up we have played in the spring behind her home where she grew up we attended school together from grade school until I moved in 1961 she was my childhood friend I’m fact I am only 4 days older than her my heart goes out to her family

I worked with her years ago at Pamida and a few years ago at Walmart.
She was a kind, loving, caring lady, who loved her family. She will truely be missed.
