Gregory “Greg” Fleck, age 64, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019, at his home in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2019, 4:00 P.M. at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, Minnesota, with interment following at the Glencoe City Cemetery in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2019, from 2:00-4:00 P.M., two hours prior the service at the chapel.
Obituary
Gregory “Greg” Bernard Fleck was born October 8, 1954, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. He was the son of Leo and Colleen (Lammers) Fleck. Greg was baptized and confirmed at Holy Trinity Cathedral Church in New Ulm, Minnesota. He received his education in New Ulm, Minnesota, graduating with the New Ulm High School Class of 1974.
On May 4, 1974, Greg was united in marriage to LuAnn Picha at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Glencoe, Minnesota. Greg and LuAnn made their home on a farm in Glencoe. Their marriage was blessed with seven children, Jason, Katie, Matthew, Nathan, Devin, Markus and Di. Greg and LuAnn shared over 45 years of marriage.
Greg was a truck driver, held various positions at the Glencoe Municipal Electric Plant, worked as a paraprofessional at GSL and most recently, farmed with his son, Matthew. He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Glencoe.
Greg loved tinkering with engines, listening to classic country music, drinking coffee and talking shop. He was called to study as a Lay servant minister. He enjoyed his time over the road and working with the kids at school. Greg loved his trip to China and enjoyed learning about their culture. Greg was simply there for everyone, whether you needed a hand or needed advice or just needed someone to be there. He cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
Greg passed away Friday, August 23, 2019 at his home in Glencoe at the age of 64 years, 10 months and 15 days.
