Obituary
Hans Roland Kranz was born on the family farm of rural Gaylord, Minnesota, on May 26, 1948, to Roland and Emily (Trout) Kranz. He was baptized into faith on June 17, 1948, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Gaylord and later confirmed in the one true faith at Faith Lutheran Church, Nicollet on May 5, 1963. Like his six children, he attended grade school at Immanuel Lutheran School where today his grandchildren continue to receive instruction in the faith.
He was married to Shirley Becker (Kranz) on August 17, 1973, at St. Mathews Lutheran Church, Penn Township. He was a poultry farmer for over 30 years and upon retirement from the poultry business he most enjoyed marketing flagpoles alongside his wife of 46 years. He was a conversationalist with a great passion for a variety of subjects including faith, politics, and humanity. He held close the doctrine of Martin Luther and instructed his six children accordingly. His favorite biblical verse was “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all they that do His commandments, His praise endureth forever.” Psalm 111:10
As an engaged member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Gaylord, Minnesota, he served his Lord in a variety of ways, but most enjoyed sharing his tenor voice with any ear willing to listen. He and his wife Shirley held a great appreciation for music and often sang in duet form for special occasions.
Hans joined his heavenly home on September 9, 2019, in the presence of his family, at the age of 71 years. Blessed be his memory.

Brandon Stolt says
I do remember Hans Kranz. If I talked to him it was a long time ago. I know my parents Todd and Rhonda Stolt do remember him and my grandmother Dorothy Stolt remembers him to. He will be greatly missed he has lived a long life although 71 is too young to die but he grew up on a farm just like my family members did the Stolt family. All we can do is cherish the memories that we have of him and they will never fade from our hearts. He is not suffering anymore he is with God and his angels in the kingdom of heaven and someday we will get to see him again. My sympathies and condolences go out to Han’s family!!

We were so sorry to hear about Hans. His memory is a great blessings to many. You could not find a stronger advocate for Christian education, anywhere. I was privileged to teach some of his children and his grandchildren! Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family. We look forward to the day when we are all together again in our heavenly home, where there will be no more pain or sorrow. Jesus Christ has won the victory over sin, death and devil. At Hans’ baptism a promise was made by God. Hans is His beloved child and now lives with the Lord in Paradise. He is home safe! May God surround you, the family, with the certain hope of the resurrection and the wonderful reunion with Hans and all our loved ones. Praise be the Name of the Lord!
