Hazel Wiggert, age 89, of Buffalo Lake, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at the Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center in Buffalo Lake.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at 11:00 A.M., at the Zion United Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake with interment in the church cemetery.
Obituary
Hazel Wiggert was born on November 16, 1924, in Chadwick, Illinois. She was the daughter of Conrad and Hazel (Estridge) Daehler. Hazel was baptized as an infant, and was confirmed in her faith as a youth in Chadwick. She attended school in Savanna, Illinois.
On October 2, 1943, Hazel was united in marriage to Marvin Wiggert in Inglewood, California. This marriage was blessed with two sons, Loyd and Ivan. Hazel and Marvin resided in California and later moved to Buffalo Lake, Minnesota. They shared 70 years of marriage.
Hazel was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She also was employed at the Buffalo Lake Bakery. Hazel retired in 1986. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake, where she was active in the U.M.W. and helped at funeral luncheons. Hazel was also a member of the Birthday Club.
Hazel enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, canning, baking, and cooking. She also enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Hazel especially cherished spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.
Early Thursday afternoon, August 14, 2014, Hazel passed away at the Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota, at the age of 89 years.

Sons: Loyd Wiggert of Hector, MN, and
Ivan Wiggert and his wife, Maggie of Buffalo Lake, MN;
Grandchildren: Judd Wiggert and his wife Missy, Luke Wiggert and his wife Nellie, Shylah Melberg and her husband Matt;
Great-grandchildren: Brandon Wiggert, Ashley Wiggert, Marissa Wiggert, Travis Sandry, Sutton Melberg, Saxton Melberg, Parker Wiggert, Cassidy Wiggert, Sawyer Melberg, Colton Wiggert, Ellie Wiggert;
many Nieces, Nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Hazel was preceded in death by her Parents, Conrad and Hazel Daehler; Grandson William Wiggert; Great-granddaughter Gracie Mae Wiggert; Daughter-In-Law Alice Wiggert; Brothers: Henry Daehler and his wife Tina, Ralph Daehler and his wife Sylvia, and Walter Daehler; Sisters: Enger Hockhousen and her husband Karl, Luella Genrich and her husband Kurt, and Gladys Kuhlemier and her husband Verlin.
