My thoughts are with you, Bob, Steve and Tom & families. My dear Joan, You made me promise that when I hear you have passed away… to yell out, ‘Hallelujah’, because life was lonely without Bud and you were ready for what comes next. I enjoyed our many conversations, and I loved to hear you sing. Your voice was beautiful. After all those years proofreading the Hutchinson Leader, you still found pleasure in pointing out an occasional mistake! We both had ‘newspaper print’ in our blood, along with a love of vocabulary. Sharing that with you was special. (RHYTHM)? Telling me about the little brown church and how you and Bud had to ring the bell together after your wedding ceremony was so very sweet. I know you could not wait to be with him again. So Joan, HALLELUJAH! Your work on earth is done. Enjoy your reward. God Bless your memory.

Bob, Steve, and Tom, I am so sorry to see that your mom passed away. I know it is hard to lose a mom. My dad is on the same obituary page as your mom, and it brings back memories of our old neighborhood. We were blessed to grow up in such a wonderful time and place, where our moms got together for coffee and we kids played outside between all our backyards! I’ll be praying for you all during this time.
With sympathy from your long ago backyard neighbor!
