Keith Pikal, age 79, of Gaylord, formerly Brownton, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Oak Terrace Heath Care in Gaylord, Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018, 2:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, with interment in the church cemetery.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 12:30 – 2:00 P.M., ALL AT CHURCH.
Obituary
Keith Gordon Pikal was born on December 6, 1938, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He was the son of Gordon Frank and Agnes Christine (Heller) Pikal. Keith was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth both at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. He received his education in a country school until the 8th grade and in Waseca, Minnesota, at the Southern School of Agriculture graduating in 1956.
On September 22, 1968, Keith was united in marriage to Joan Franke at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Gaylord, Minnesota. Keith and Joan made their home in Brownton, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Christopher and Cynthia. Keith and Joan shared 47 years of marriage until Joan passed away on August 6, 2016.
Keith was a lifelong farmer in McLeod County, Minnesota. He was also a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.
Keith enjoyed pets, flower landscaping, mowing his lawn, attending auctions, tractor pulls, farm shows, and collecting toy tractors. He also enjoyed car shows, NASCAR, collecting diecast cars, and classic cars in which he owned a 68 Dodge Charger. Keith cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
When Keith needed assistance with his daily care, he became a resident at Oak Terrace Heath Care in Gaylord. He passed away there on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at the age of 79 years, 5 months, and 7 days. Blessed be his memory.

Children, Christopher Pikal of Brownton, MN,
Cynthia Schacht and her special friend, Ric Kottke, of Glencoe, MN;
Brother, Leigh Pikal of Brownton, MN;
Nieces, Nephews, Other relatives and many friends.
Keith is preceded in death by his: Parents, Gordon and Agnes Pikal; Spouse, Joan Pikal; and Sister-In-Law, Nancy Pikal.
