Lucille Jorgenson, age 89 of Darwin, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016, at her home in Darwin.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Darwin, with interment in the St. Columban Cemetery, Greenleaf Township, Meeker County, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Arrangements are with the Hantge Funeral Chapel in Darwin.

Obituary
Lucille L. Jorgenson was born April 29, 1927, in Winsted, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Edward and Anna (Fiecke) Sterner. Lucille was baptized and confirmed at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. She graduated from the Holy Trinity High School and St. Catherine’s University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
On April 28, 1951, Lucille married Charles Jorgenson at Holy Trinity. They had five children, Edward, Jeffrey, Susan, Rosemary, and Mary Jean. Charles passed away in 1975. Lucille worked as an OB nurse until her retirement in 1992 from the Meeker County Memorial Hospital.
Lucille was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Darwin. In her retirement, Lucille enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, travel, and was an avid reader. She was a loyal Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan. Lucille learned to use the computer at age 80. She enjoyed gardening, and spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends.
Lucille passed away May 26, 2016, at her home in Darwin, surrounded by her loving family.
Lucille is survived by her Children: Edward Jorgenson and his wife Lisa of Colleyville, Texas, Jeffrey Jorgenson of Darwin, Susan Puschmann and her husband Dennis of Darwin, Rosemary Marshall and her husband Wayne of Lilliwaup, Washington, and Mary Jean Sullivan and her husband Michael of Aurora, Illinois; Grandchildren: Mary Katherine, Tony, Annie, Liisa, Matthew, Mark, Michelle, Marianne, Melinda, and Michael; Great-Grandchildren: Dennis, Lucy, Luke, Amanda, Kailey, Will, Talia, Calvin, Noelle, Bella, Owen, Sam, Rosemary, and Elliott; Brothers and Sisters: Florian, Mary, Agatha, Marion, Eugene, Cletus, Edward, Annette, and Rita; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Lucille was preceded in death by her Parents, Edward and Anna, Husband Charles, Brothers Andrew and Clement, Sisters Margie and Regina, Great-Grandchildren: Caleb Marshall, Faith LeClaire, and Nicholas LeClaire.
An extraordinary and loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and friend, Lucille will be missed.
