Service Information
Mark A. Rotzien, age 68, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at his home in Hutchinson.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 2:30 P.M. at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson with interment in Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Obituary
Mark Arnold Rotzien was born on May 9, 1950, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He was the son of Arnold and Helen (Peterson) Rotzien. Mark was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth, both at Vineyard United Methodist Church, in Hutchinson. He was a graduate of Hutchinson High School Class of 1968. Mark earned a degree in Photo Journalism at the University of Minnesota.
After college, Mark lived in Minneapolis and St. Louis Park. He was the Vice President for Anthem Incorporated. His specialty was Computer Programming for Municipal Water Systems. He moved to the family farm and managed it for many years. He loved the farm and caring for it.
Mark enjoyed cooking, reading, wood working, fishing, vegetable gardening, canning, and black powder target shooting. He especially loved fixing everything around the farm. Mark’s pride and joy was his Vintage 1968 Jaguar XKE, which he loved to show at car shows.
Mark passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at his home, at the age of 68 years.

Mark is survived by his:
Sister, Becky (Rotzien) Tupa and her husband, Michael, of Fort Collins, Colorado;
Nephew, Joshua Tupa and his significant other, Breanna Rose and her daughter, Lillian, of Fort Collins, Colorado;
Cousins, Marsha DeMunnik, Barbara Erickson, Sharon Lossing and her husband, Doug, Karen Grant, David Knutson and his wife, JoAnne;
Many other relatives and dear friends.
Mark is preceded in death by his Parents, Arnold and Helen Rotzien.
