Paula Russell, age 44, of Buffalo Lake, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at the RC Hospital in Olivia.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Friday, May 18, 2018, from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake, and will continue on Saturday for one hour prior to the service.
Obituary
Paula Rena Russell was born December 23, 1973, in Carson City, Nevada, the daughter of James and Mary (Denney) Russell. She grew up in Lincoln City, Oregon, and attended Taft High School. She was a member of the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians.
Paula lived in various places throughout her life, including cities in Alaska, California, North Dakota, and Minnesota. She settled in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota, where she owned and operated the OK Café. She loved cooking and trying new recipes, especially with deserts. She used her creativity by making a cup cake stand for her daughter’s wedding.
Paula became a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake. On Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015, Paula and all of her family were baptized by Pastor Rita Augsburger. Her sponsors were Daniel Anderson and MaryAnn Carrigan.
Paula’s interests included refurbishing old items, bike riding, mowing the lawn, and listening to music. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
On Tuesday, May 8, 2018, Paula passed away, having reached the age of 44 years, 4 months, and 15 days. Blessed be her memory.
Paula is survived by her:
Partner, Daniel Anderson of Buffalo Lake;
Children: Kendal Russell and husband Dustin Kindt of Buffalo Lake, and
Donovan Anderson of Buffalo Lake;
Step-children: Dennis Anderson and Cheyanne Anderson, both of Buffalo Lake;
Grandchildren: Peyton Kindt of Buffalo Lake, and one on the way;
Siblings: James Russell of Brooklyn Center, Jennyfer Glenn, and Mike Glenn;
other relatives, and friends.
Paula was preceded in death by her Parents and Grandparents.
