Richard Steven Kosek was born on November 13, 1948, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He was the son of Dennis and Grace (Woller) Kosek. Richard was baptized as an infant in 1948, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth in 1963, both at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Stewart, Minnesota. He received his education in Hutchinson, and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School Class of 1966.
Dick was married to Deborah Kosek (Miller). They had four children, Jason, Jeremy, Andrew and Jenessa.
Dick was employed with the City of Hutchinson as an Operator at Creek Side Soil. He retired January 1, 2015. Dick was a man with a very big heart and he enjoyed giving back to the community through volunteering. He was a giver, never a taker.
Dick was a true outdoorsman that loved showing his horses, horseback riding, spending countless hours in the tractor; farming, deer hunting and fishing. He was an avid sports fan as well. He also enjoyed a good game of cards and rolling dice; he liked the Farkle dice game. Dick cherished the time he spent with his family, grandchildren and friends.
