Ricky Rogney, age 61, of Glencoe, Minnesota, formerly of Excelsior, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2019, at his home in New Auburn Township, rural Glencoe, Minnesota.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020, from 1:00-3:00 P.M., at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Obituary
Ricky Lee Rogney was born on August 5, 1958, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was the son of Randall W. and Marlene M. (Edgar) Rogney. He was baptized as a young child on May 19, 1962. He received his education in Minnetonka, Minnesota, graduating with the Minnetonka Senior High School Class of 1977.
On June 22, 1991, Ricky was united in marriage to Dawn A. Kiecker at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos, Minnesosta. Their marriage was blessed with one daughter, Samantha. Ricky and Dawn made their home in Shakopee and later moved to Glencoe, Minnesota. They shared 20 years of marriage and later were divorced.
Ricky worked at MTS Systems in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, as a hydraulic engineer for over 30 years. He retired in 2019. Ricky enjoyed playing guitar, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and being outside. He also enjoyed taking care of his farm. Ricky loved the time spent with his family and friends.
Ricky passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 61 years, 4 months and 16 days.

Daughter, Samantha Rogney and her fiancé, Anthony Lowden, of Arlington, MN;
Mother, Marlene Rand and his stepdad, William Rand, of Glencoe, MN;
Siblings, Rory Rogney of Gaylord, MN,
Roger Rogney and his wife, Kim, of Shorewood, MN,
Robin Ockermann of Brownton, MN,
Ross Rogney and his wife, Tina, of Excelsior, MN;
Nieces, Nephews, Other relatives and many friends.
Ricky was preceded in death by his Father, Randall Rogney; Brother, Ronald Rogney; Grandmother, Emma Edgar.
