Service Information
Roger Schultz, age 72, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 8, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota, with interment at a later date.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Friday, January 8, 2021, from 10:00-11:00 A.M., one hour prior the service at the church.
The service will be live streamed on Friday, January 8, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. on First Evangelical Lutheran Church’s Facebook page. You can also access the live streamed service via the church’s website at www.firstglencoe.org and click watch worship services online.
Social distancing guidelines will be followed and masks are required.

Obituary
Roger Vernon Schultz was born on August 12, 1948, in Gaylord, Sibley County, Minnesota. He was the son of Vernon Albert and Lucille Martha (Podratz) Schultz. Roger was baptized as an infant on September 5, 1948, by Rev. Stahlke at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord, Minnesota, and later was confirmed in his faith as a youth on May 20, 1962, by Rev. R. F. Meissner at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota. He received his education in Glencoe, Minnesota, attending Stevens Seminary and graduating with the Glencoe High School Class of 1966. Roger furthered his education by attending Minneapolis School of Massage and Body Work for two years with a Degree in Massage.
On November 3, 1973, Roger was united in marriage to Sally Ann Greskovics by Rev. E. W. Blumenkamp at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. Roger and Sally made their home in Glencoe, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Stephen, Michael and Jessica. Roger and Sally shared over 47 years of marriage.
Roger was a farmer and massage therapist until 2015 when he retired. He was an active member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. As his ministry to the church, he was on the Board of Evangelism and served as the church secretary for two years. Roger was also an elected county official and served for many years as a Supervisor for the McLeod Soil and Water Conservation District beginning in 1997.
Roger loved being involved. He enjoyed spending time on the pontoon fishing. Family was very important to him and he treasured the time spent with them and his friends.
Roger passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 18 days.

Sister, Dianna Austin and her husband, Gary, of Burnsville, MN;
Brothers, Douglas Schultz and his wife, Flavia, of Glencoe, MN,
Mark Schultz and his wife, Annmarie, of Chanhassen, MN;
Sisters-In-Law, Judy Metcalf and her husband, Lane, of Williamsburg, VA,

Roger was preceded in death by his Parents, Vernon and Lucille Schultz; Brother, Gregory Schultz; Father-In-Law, Stephen Greskovics; Sister-In-Law, Bette Smith; Brother-In-Law, David Greskovics.

Kevin was just remembering when he bowled with Roger and the other guys. I can remember him getting his haircut in my salon.
