Scott Alan Hoof, age 61, of Watertown, Minnesota, formerly of Norwood Young America, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018, in Richmond, Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Friedens (County Line) Church – UCC in rural Norwood Young America, Minnesota, with interment following at the Ferguson Cemetery in rural Norwood Young America, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 10:00-11:00 A.M., one hour prior the service at the church.

Obituary
Scott Alan Hoof was born on May 25, 1957, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He was the son of Hilary and Priscilla (Spangenberg) Hoof. Scott was baptized as an infant at home in 1957 by Rev. Menger and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth in 1971 by Rev. Iseli at Friedens (County Line) Church in rural Norwood Young America, Minnesota. His confirmation verse was Revelations 2:10. Scott received his education in Norwood Young America, graduating with honors with the Central High School Class of 1975.
On August 15, 1993, Scott was united in marriage to Molly Parker at Trinity Episcopal Church in Excelsior, Minnesota. Molly and Scott made their home in Chaska and Watertown, Minnesota. Scott and Molly’s marriage was blessed with two children, Katie and Davidson. The couple shared almost 25 years of marriage.
Scott worked at RFA Engineering in Eden Prairie, Aeration Industries International Inc. in Chaska, and Waconia Sackett Manufacturing in Waconia, Minnesota, as a mechanical designer. He also delivered Sun Patriot newspapers for 25 years. Scott was a member of the Minnesota Blue Grass and Old Time Music Association, the Old Threshers Reunion Association and Carver County Community Orchestra. He was also a member of the Good Samaritan Church in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
Scott was a handyman. He enjoyed motorcycling, camping, tractors, Minnesota bluegrass, old time and polka music. Scott also loved playing his trombone and being a part of the church orchestra at Trinity Episcopal Church. Scott treasured the time spent with family and friends.
Scott passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018, in Richmond, Minnesota, at the age of 61 years, 2 months and 18 days.
