Wayne Klukas, age 74, of Winthrop passed away Saturday, February 25th at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Winthrop, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, February 28th, 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bismarck Township, Winthrop with interment in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the St. John's Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church on Tuesday.
Arrangements are with the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop.
Obituary
Wayne John Klukas was born on July 6, 1942, in Bismarck Township, Sibley County, Minnesota. He was the son of Harvey W. and Verna (Pagel) Klukas. Wayne was baptized as an infant on July 19, 1942, and was later confirmed in his faith on March 25, 1956, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bismarck Township. He received his education in Winthrop and was a 1960 graduate of the Winthrop High School.
Wayne lived in the Winthrop area his entire life and farmed in Bismarck Township. Over the years he was employed by Leonard Stark, Lester Stark, Otto Gutknecht and L.F. Boehlke in their farming operations.
Wayne was a life-long member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bismarck Township.
Wayne enjoyed driving around looking at the crops. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.
When he needed assistance with his daily care, Wayne became a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in Winthrop on October 24, 2016, and passed away there on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at the age of 74 years. Blessed be his memory.
Wayne is survived by his Cousins and many friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by his Parents, Harvey and Verna Klukas.
