Linda Ueland, age 95, of Winthrop, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015, at Southview Living Center in Gibbon.
Memorial Service will be Monday, September 21st, 11:00 A.M. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winthrop with interment in the Winthrop Cemetery.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be Monday, September 21st, from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
Linda Clara (Klein) Ueland was born on December 7, 1919, in Glenham, South Dakota. She was the daughter of John and Matilda “Tillie” (Scherer) Klein. Linda was baptized as an infant on April 20, 1920, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 9, 1934, both at St. Jacobs Lutheran Church in Glenham, South Dakota. She received her education in Glenham, South Dakota.
After graduation, Linda moved to Minneapolis where she worked for Archer Daniel; there she met and married Kenneth Ueland. They were blessed with four children. In 1953, she moved to Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, where she worked at the Proctor Hotel and Erie Jr. In 1981, Linda moved to Arizona where she resided for 20 years.
Linda was the president of the Ladies Guild and a Sunday School teacher in Detroit Lakes.
Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
When she needed assistance with her daily care, Linda became a resident of Southview Living Center in Gibbon in 2004, and passed away there on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at the age of 95 years. Blessed be her memory.

Son, Timothy Ueland of North Minneapolis, MN;
Granddaughters, Leely Evans and her husband, Joe, Jessie Score, Stephanie Hanson and Ryan, Nicole Ueland;
Grandsons, Michael Arhart and Jenny VanderBloemen, Jack Burgeson, Jr, Denning Petersen, Roby Petersen;
Great-Granddaughters, Morgan Evans and Emma Petersen;
Great-Grandsons, Connor Evans, Shawn Score, Jr, Steffan Score, and Nickolas Score;
Sister, Elsa Poppert;
Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her Parents, John and Tillie Klein; Brothers, Albert Klein, Earnest Klein, Otto Klein, Walter and Frances Klein; Sister, Freda and Edwin Knittel.
