Duane Bussler, age 90, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Good Samaritan Society in Winthrop, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 28, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Auburn, Minnesota, with interment following at the High Island Cemetery in New Auburn, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 28, 2021, from 10:00-11:00 A.M., one prior the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Obituary
Duane Jerome Bussler was born on February 25, 1930, in Stewart, Minnesota. He was the son of Rudolph and Rose (Sell) Bussler. Duane was baptized as an infant on March 23, 1930, and later was confirmed in his faith as a youth on July 2, 1944, both at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stewart, Minnesota. He received his education at a country school thru the 8th grade.
On July 6, 1951, Duane was united in marriage to Elaine Alsleben at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Auburn, Minnesota. Duane and Elaine made their home in rural Glencoe, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with six children, Allan, Byron, Curt, Amy, Todd and Bruce. Duane and Elaine shared over 69 years of marriage.
Duane was a farmer on the family farm. He was an active member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Auburn. Duane was also a member of the New Auburn Lions and helped with the annual fish fry.
Duane especially enjoyed listening to Polka music, watching the Minnesota Twins and in his younger years, deer hunting. Duane was known for his snacking. One of his favorite night time snacks was ice cream, but he wouldn’t turn down pepper jack cheese, crackers and herring (just to name a few) Family was very important to him and he treasured the time spent with his children and grandchildren along with his friends.
Duane passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Good Samaritan Society in Winthrop, Minnesota, at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 19 days.
