Dear Lind family;
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. I remember her so well working in the office at school and welcoming me into your home when I would stay in town overnight with Joni. She and your Dad were such welcome neighbors to my folks in Winthrop when they were all on the same block in town. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this time and I wish you comfort in the days to come.

Dear Blaine, Terry, Joni & John & extended family members,
Hearing of your Mother’s passing gave me time to pause and remember Lou the way I knew her. I first knew of your Mother was when she was school secretary. She always waved at me when I walked passed the administrative offices and I’m sure she watched all of our movements because our lockers were just across the hallway when we were in Junior High. Later, when Blaine and Terry were married, I had many opportunities to share my life with her, because she always asked how I, and then later, how my family was doing. She wanted to know, and I believed it to be a sincere inquiry. She always had a huge smile and a gentle way of conversing.
The most sincere thing that Lou and Bob did for my family was when our little darling daughter, Alexis Anna Rose died after struggling with heart issues at the age of 21 months. Lou wrote a very touching letter attached to a card stating that she wouldn’t know how she would’ve handled the death of one of her own children and that I (we) were putting on a brave front, but Lou knew we must be hurting very much. This was a very touching unsolicited letter which I have kept all of these years. I always thought that was such a nice gesture from my sister’s mother-in-law. Later, Lou, once again whenever we met at a graduation or funeral or other events, she and I would briefly converse and she would ask the same questions.
Your mother was kind, was sincere, was gentle and was interested in others…..a beautiful way to live ones life.
P.S. Kalen & Connor…..your Grandma Lou was kind, gentle soul……I hope you tell your children and others that she loved you two to the moon!
God Bless, Craig & Gail Hoffman, Wausau, Wisconsin
