Obituary
Joyce Mae Boesche was born on May 18, 1927, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Edward and Cora (Heimkes) Boesche. Joyce was baptized as an infant on July 10, 1927, by Pastor Schroedel at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 6, 1941, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato, Minnesota. Her confirmation verse was Psalm 37:4. Joyce received her education in Glencoe, Minnesota, graduating with the Glencoe High School Class of 1945.
Joyce made her home in Glencoe. In addition to being a loving sister, aunt and homemaker, Joyce worked as a secretary at Onan’s and then as a bookkeeper at Bongards Creameries in Bongards, Minnesota. She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato, where she served on the church council, sang in the church choir and taught Vacation Bible School and Sunday School.
Joyce was a strong independent woman and a perfectionist. Family always came first to Joyce and she was a second mom to all of her nephews and nieces. She was never happier than when surrounded by her family and friends. Joyce enjoyed crafts, making homemade cards, crocheting and crossword puzzles.

Thinking of all of the Boesche Clan with sympathy…. Joyce was so very proud of all of you….I was always amazed (in earlier years) that she always remembered our kids & asked about them whenever I saw her!

So sorry for your loss. Family was everything to Joyce; we shared news of our families many times. We had many chats, and I always enjoyed her company. I’m so glad she’s at peace now. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
