Service Information
Lillian M. Clapp, age 96, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.
Private Family Service will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. at the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson with interment in the Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the chapel.
Obituary
Lillian Minnie Clapp was born on October 2, 1922, in Lynn Township, McLeod County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Arthur and Emma (Rannow) Clapp. She received her education in Hutchinson and was a graduate with the Hutchinson High School class of 1940.
During World War II, Lillian resided on the west coast, where she worked for the railroad in Oregon. Lillian then was employed as a secretary for many years at several places, such as the Hutchinson Public Schools, Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing, and local attorney offices.
Lillian enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening, cooking, reading, fishing, and feeding the birds. She also enjoyed traveling to Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and North Dakota. Lillian’s favorite holidays were Christmas and many family birthdays.
Lillian was a Sunday school teacher and faithful member of the First Congregational Church in Hutchinson, Minnesota. Lillian’s faith was very important to her.
Lillian passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, at the age of 96 years. Blessed be her memory.

Lillian is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Emma Rannow; siblings, Myron Clapp and his wife, Evelyn, Alton Clapp, and Melda Mitchell; nephew, Edward Mitchell.

We always liked visiting Lillian at Harmony River. Very pleasant lady. We first met her when she was a secretary for our attorney. God bless her memory~~~~~
