Obituary
Sedona Eloise Miller was born on June 11, 1926, in Mahnomen, Minnesota. She was the daughter of William and Verna (Peppel) Quinnell. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed in her faith as a youth at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Northfield. She received her education at Northfield High School. After high school, she worked as a dental assistant in Northfield.
On June 4, 1949, Sedona was united in marriage to John Miller at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Northfield, Minnesota. Sedona and John resided in Lake City and Hutchinson, Minnesota. Sedona's best role in life was as a wife to John for 57 years until he passed away in 2006. This June would have marked their 70th wedding anniversary. Those blessed and honored to call her Mom were Carol, Gary, Jack, and Mardi. Sedona supported her children through all the ups and downs of teenage and college life and into adulthood.
Sedona was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She kept everything running smoothly at home so John could go to work and provide for his family. Sedona was proud to call herself a homemaker and did a wonderful job of it. Another title she cherished was Grandma; she loved spending time with her grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, and Linsey Dolder, Shannon and Holly Perlich, Wyatt, Casey, and Olivia Miller. She was even blessed to be called Great Grandma by Maddie, Cameron, Moses and Mack Dolder. She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church.
They say home is where the heart is. The heart of the home was Sedona, and the center of that heart was the kitchen. Many of her favorite times were spent in the kitchen baking with her family. Whenever Sedona’s family would come home, they would find her in the kitchen. Some of Mom’s favorite recipes are being served today. We think she’d be happy knowing everyone is enjoying her treats one more time.
Sedona cherished the friendships she had in Hutchinson throughout the years, especially the "Birthday Club". Those ladies brought sunshine into her life! Her family also has such fond memories of her wonderful friendships with our neighbors both in Hutchinson and at the Hinds Lake cabin.
Sedona also treasured her extended State Farm Family. The families of all the agents and agency managers that she knew gave her great memories of wonderful times together. A special thank you to the Retired Agency Manager (RAM) group. Sedona and John always looked forward to those gatherings and enjoyed their time with you immensely. The family wishes to extend our appreciation to all the caring individuals at Ecumen Oaks and Harmony River in Hutchinson for providing such wonderful care for our Mom in the last few years and months. And in her final days, the Alina Health Hospice Care team provided support and compassion as we worked through this difficult transition of saying goodbye to our Mom. Thank you to all the friends, neighbors, relatives and business associates for all your kind words and support in these past few weeks. While we are deeply saddened to say goodbye to Sedona, we are comforted knowing she's in a better place, pain-free and at peace.
This beautiful lady had a kind and caring heart. It carried her through life for over 92 years. Thank you, Mom, for giving us the greatest gift, your love.

My eyes cry while my heart rejoices that not only did our parents join loved ones who passed before but they walked joyously together thru the gates of heaven. Your mom was a wonderful woman with a fantastic laugh. Her generosity and graciousness were a leap beyond others. Love to you all.

Gary–Your Mom always greeted me and my Mom so enthusiastically and we enjoyed this a great deal. My Mom worked at Hutch Drug and your Mom always had time to chat with her a little about each other’s family. My condolences to you and the family.
