Theresa Olinger, age 57, wife of Brian Olinger of Hector, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019, at the Golden Living Center in Olivia.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hector.
Interment will be held in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Hector.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 26, 2019, from 4:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Hughes-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hector, with a Prayer Service at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church.
Obituary
Theresa Marie Olinger was born December 29, 1961, in Olivia, Minnesota, the daughter of Edward and Karen (Kopel) Steffel. She was baptized and confirmed in her faith at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia. Theresa received her education in Olivia, and graduated with the Class of 1980 from the Olivia High School.
On April 2, 1982, Theresa was united in marriage to Brian Olinger. They made their home in Hector, and were blessed with three children.
Theresa worked as a waitress in Olivia and at the High Point in Hector. Her love of the outdoors and mowing lawns led her to employment with Honey-do Lawn Services. She also loved gardening. Theresa was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Hector.
On Monday evening, April 22, 2019, Theresa passed away at the Golden Living Center in Olivia, having reached the age of 57 years. Blessed be her memory.

Children: Jason Olinger and his wife, Tracy, of Willmar, MN,
Keith Olinger of Hector, MN, and
Ashley Olinger of Hutchinson, MN;
Grandchildren: Bailey, Brielle, Makkyah, Alexander, Michael, and Peyton;
Mother, Karen Steffel of Olivia, MN;
Siblings: Cindy and Jeff Vosika of Olivia, MN,
Tom and Joy Steffel of Olivia, MN,
Gary and Jan Steffel of Olivia, MN,
Jean and Kevin Clouse of Olivia, MN,
Bob and Terri Steffel of Hutchinson, MN;
nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Theresa was preceded in death by her Father, Edward Steffel, and by her Grandparents.
